Play date! Day 8

Alright! So yet again another great day in Vienna! This is our last full day in Vienna! Cold cereal was for breakfast again which I am okay with! This was such a fun picture! We went on this little maze inside of the Schoenburnn palace. There were fun mirror at the end! We had fun playing in them!

This is the giant delicious pretzel that was amazing! Just for a snack!

There was this fun park there too we had a tonz of fun! This was a little bird thing we had had to climb up into and the wings flapped and everything! It was really fun!

For dinner we just stopped by some chine’s food. This was fried noodle with crispy duck! I haven’t had duck before but it was really good!!

We actually headed to the “beach” that wasn’t really like a beach. It was really just like swimming in a dirty nasty cannel. It was still nice to relax and enjoy some sun! after we went for gelato! Yummy!!!

Yummy cracker/pretzel snacks!
For dinner I am sure it was just hummus and bread and fruit! We ran out of the yummy hummus and Jenni was sad! And so was I!

Sunday in Vienna! Day 7

Alright! So the first thing we did on Sunday was go to church! It was different is some ways but the same in other ways! The ward was either black people or Asians with a little bit of Europeans.  It was in English but every one had a different accent! We only stayed for sacrament meeting and then left again! So this is a picture of the meetinghouse… not like Utah ones.

After church, we wanted bead and hummus again so this is what we got…

along with this delicious fresh fruit that we ate all day long! Yummy!!
we meet up for lunch with the group. I ended up sharing with jenni this Tomatenknodle! It was a tomato dumpling with mozzarella, parmesan cheese and butter! AMAZING!!
oh my gosh! And we ordered desert and shared. It was something Mozart something! This is by far the best desert we have had yet!! It also had bananas and whip cream that was weird, it had no sugar! Gross! But the little balls were filled with yummieness and they were oozing out amazingness!
So I really am going to get fat on this trip! This day I had a lot of desert!!! But I didn’t eat it all by my self! So today was a girl in the groups birthday! Happy birthday Vegas!! So we all went out and got these amazing desert things!
So I didn’t eat these by my self!!! I shared with a few other people but they were soooo good! This one was my favorite out of the two! It was called spaghetti ice cream. Vanilla gelato with strawberry syrup that tasted like strawberry jam!!

After ice cream  we went to another museum called the Albertina! We couldn’t take pictures of anything but there was so good! There was some picaso paintings as well as Monet!! We got to see his famous water lilly!! It was so beautiful! They colors were amazing! I ended up buying a post card to frame… but its just not the same! So I don’t really remember what we did for dinner… nothing amazing because I didn’t take a picture! I am getting better at remembering to take pictures! I really think I just had hummus and bread!!

“The Kiss” day 6

Okay friends! So this is day 6 in Vienna! Some people wet to the flea market but I was just so tired from the bike ride the day before so I slept in and caught up with the group later. So for breakfast we just went to a pastry shop again but this time I was a bit more careful of what I ordered! It was more like an apple turn over.

And don’t forget the Diet Coke! Or shall I say Coca-Cola light!

I was so supprized that my diet coke has ice in it!!!! That is the number one thing that I really really wanted and missed was ice cubes!! I just wanted ice cold water so bad! Here in Austria, they don’t believe in drinks being too cold! They believe that cold beverages are bad for you because they can give you brain freezes and anything like that would bad for you! So I was so shocked when they gave us ice! And it melted so fast!

If I remember right… we wet to the Belvedere museum later and maybe a few other museums! The Belvedere was where “The Kiss” is by Gustav Klimt!!! It is a very famous and all over Vienna! It was amazing!! It wasn’t as big or as shinny as some recreations are but it was still amazing!!!!! I loved it! So for lunch we decided to try to an Austrian restaurant and we yet again couldn’t read anything! So I ordered mozzarella mit tomaten und Kernol. It sounded really good but it wasn’t as good as it looks... at first I kinda ate it like a salad. But after I ate about half of it, she brought me bread (I think she forgot at first) and it was so much better with bread!!!!

After lunch we went and got some yummy Galato! I think it was just chocolate and chocolate chip! not my favorite flavors but they were still good!

oh and here is some yummy chocolate truffles! I think you can get these (or at least something like it) in America!

we went to the chocolate store and they had this cute carrot looking thing! the chocolate was okay.

For dinner, I just went down the street and got a giant slice of spinach and cheese pizza! I forgot to take a picture before I took my first bite.

I also had rice and some sort of weird sauce… it wasn’t very good. :)

on the walk home from, some girls confronted us  and they were all dressed in pink and it ended up being a bachlet party. So they were selling things and using the money for there honeymoon. So I bought this chocolate bar for like 1 euro. It was interesting white chocolate with mango.

"THE" day in Vienna! day 5

Okay! So I know it has been like FOREVER sense I last posted! We didn’t have any internet the hole time we were in Salzburg/St. Gilgen. And it has been a pain! So I have lots of catching up to do! So I think this was the fifth day in Vienna. Jenni and I just went to the store called Billa and just got cold cereal and milk! As you all know, eating out three meals a day can really put a big dent in your pocket! So it was just your basic cold cereal but the milk was a bit different. Just a little more creamy with a different after tase! But still good!

So this was one of my favorite days! We went outside of town and went on this long all day bike ride through the vineyards and tasted the wine! I didn’t try any. I just had AMAZING grape juice. But I also hear the wine was really good! We did end up buying two glass bottles of grape juice for 3 euros each! Amazing price for how good they were!

So the bike trip was a bit of a work out but it was so much fun! I am so glad that I did it! About half way through our journey, we stopped at another place and had more wine/juice. And then there was lunch there for us. It really was more or less like a bunch of snacks.

This is cute Michelle with my grape juice! Yummy yummy!

After lunch, I decided to chance taking my little camera out on the bike and take some pictures! This when we were getting into town.

This is just another shot in the town! It was so beautiful here!! I loved going on this bike trip so much!!!

So here is my daily dose of Galto! This is by far my two favorite flavors! The one on the right is orange chocolate and the others is called cookies! It is amazing!!!

That night we tried to go to that concert again and it ended up being a complete mistake. We wanted to go to this really good restaurant but ended up walking around until most of the places were closed. So we just went to this little stand. This pretzel was huge!!! And it was more like bread shaped into a pretzel. Yum!

This is jus the wurst that we had, it was very good! With mustard that I hate!

Well that’s it for today! And its time for bed! Night!!!!!

Vienna adventures day 4!

Wow guys! I am so so sorry I am so far behind!! This is what I ate on the fourth day in Vienna and I am in prague now! but I am going to try to catch up tonight! So this is what we had for breakfast! Basically sugar! :) there is a chocolate chip cookie there which wasn't as sweet as your typical cookie, but is was still good! This is what I got for orange juice. It was more like tang. Not orange juice at all!

And this fold over thing was filled with some sort of rasin blend mix! It was so gross!! I couldnt eat it! This is just a close up of the really nasty middle! GROSS!
I was still hungry because the raisin turn over was no editable.... I got this chocolate croissant with a chocolate center! It was much better the the turn over! I know its a lot of sugar for breakfast and I didnt feel good after, but man it was good! So on this day, we walked through the farmers market and stopped at this little food shack! I would have to say this is one of my top favorites. Its a lamb doner... the O makes a U sound... I dont know how really type it the correct way. But oh my gosh! It was AMAZING! So tasty! It was basically a lamb sandwich!

This is by far my favorit picture of the trip! this one trumps all photo's of Jenni! she is eating her Falafel Doner1 It was so big she couldn't get it in her mouth!! I love this photo so much! I laugh every time I see it! Hahaha!!
It was suppose to be a rainy day so we went to the Leopold museum and Shela and Klimpt (but not the kiss). They had these cool plastic things every where for people to sit on and they were all different colors! There were also a few other museums there but one was closed.  The leopold was good! I will see if I have any photo's from inside...
So this is my daily dose of Galato! I think the top one is raspberry and the bottom one is cheese cake! The Galato in Vienna is so dang good! :)
If I can remember right.... we went back to the hostel and kinda had a lazy night... we thought there would be a concert at church in the middle of town (St.. Stephan's) but we got there and there was no concert so we wanted to find the pizza place we went the night before. so we walked around for a long time and got so tired, we tried a different place. It wasnt as good as the last one but I still liked it! This is a tomato soup. Jenni has got me to like soup a lot! I already liked it before but know I really like it!
This is just the margarita pizza we had for the main course! It was pretty good!
Alright! I guess that is it for this day! I am going to post more tonight! :) I hope you all are enjoying my food blog just as much as I enjoyed the food! :) :)

Rainy days and Wednesdays

Alright! So I know I haven't posted on here for a while and it is killing me! I need to blog! because if I dont... I forget what day I had what!! but I am supper tired so I am just going to do one day instead of 4 like I need to! so hopefully I will catch up tomorrow! It has just been a crazy week with so much to see! So this is really day 3 of my food log and what I ate! For breakfast we just went to a local grocery marked at got hummus and bread along with this really good cherry yogurt bar.

the humus was really good... it was as good as my sisters home made humus.

So we then went to this museum called the kunsthistorisches. It was pretty cool! It was a beautiful museum.
So after this museum, we went to leave and it was raining like crazy!!! It was intense how much it was coming down! and just 2 min before it took the picture above with blue sky! I felt like I was in logan!! so we decided to go the Hofburg Palace and do a tour there. I did take a picture of it but I cant find it right now... all my pictures are un-organized! So this picture is of this amazing chewy treat called Pico-Balla. it was kinda like licorice with a creamy filling... but at the same time, not! but it was really good! we ate the hole bag.

So for lunch... Jenni and I just bought a sandwich at the grocery store earlier that morning. It wasnt anything special and I forgot to take a picture of it. Sometimes I just get to hungry and forget to take a picture so I have some with a bite or two out of them! :) So we went out again for dinner. This is a really popular drink that they have all over the place. It is called Almdudler. It is kinda like a club soda and it is really good!

For dinner, most of us got a wiener schnitzel. It was AMAZING! Probably one of my favorite meals so far! it was kinda like a pork patty thing that was covered with breading. It was bigger then the plate! I loved it! it was way expensive too! I think it was like 13 euros which is 19 US dollars. but boy it was good. we also got a salad that was like a potato salad (but creamier) with a type of lettuce on top!

And of course... my daily dose of Gelato!!! I think this time it was carmel and nutella flavored! they were both really good! I havent had a flavor of gelato that I dont absolutely love!! So yummy!!
I am so tied! I will try so hard to catch up on my blog tomorrow! Guten Nacht
